Like many artists, I’m forever fascinated by light: not just the light you see, but most importantly, the light you can feel radiating from within. Below is a list of mixed media art supplies for the class. A more detailed supplies list with shopping links will be available in the classroom after you join. These are only suggestions. I encourage you to work with your favorite supplies and materials to make your painting uniquely yours.
Basic tools:
substrate of your choice (wood panel, canvas, journal)
A palette
Water + spray bottle
A few paint brushes in various sizes, including a flat brush for collage
Other painting tools like a palette knife, plastic card, brayer…
Mixed media materials:
Matte gel medium
Your choice of collage papers, including some neutral tones
White tissue paper
Acrylic paints (heavy body or fluid)
Other optional materials you will see me use in the class:
Something golden or metallic to make your little star shine!
Water resistant fine tip pens for journaling: I like white and black Posca pens
Craft heat gun to speed up the drying time
