Tiny art, big magic
When I was little, if you had asked me what I wanted to do with my life, I wouldn’t have told you I wanted to be an artist. I’ve always been creative, and a day-dreamer for sure, but back then I didn’t have a clue I would some day be painting paintings and writing about it on a blog. No way.
The only honest reply I could have given you, the secret wish of my little girl soul, was to do MAGIC. Not magic tricks, but REAL magic: making the beautiful things I could imagine come true, just like that, just by wanting it and believing in it (and yes, with plenty of glitter and rainbows and unicorns to boot!)

I’m all grown-up now, I guess, and I know for sure that my dream has come true, because magic is at the heart of what I do. My wands may look like paintbrushes, pastels and palette knives, but the truth is that I get to turn my dreams into reality, and give them a visible, tangible form, a soul, a life of their own, for real.
Not only that, but I have also discovered something even more magical: when you create art while holding an intention in your heart, be it a general one (like love or peace) or a very specific wish, your intention becomes much stronger, coming many steps closer to reality. The art becomes like a talisman, holding space for dreams to come to life.
In today’s world and words, we call this “manifesting” and “the law of attraction” but to me, “magic” sounds much more beautiful and true, because it reminds us to never lose sight of the wonder of it all. Art is not only about creating something beautiful or meaningful, it is also about creating the life that we dream of…
