Gratitude lessons
Last night I went to bed with the happiest heart and a big smile on my face, after we closed my first online solo show. I'm still pinching myself that all the artworks have found new homes! It hasn’t always been that way though, and I feel so very grateful.
Online solo show
Save the date! 16 - 18 OCT. 2019. will be my first ONLINE SOLO show! It’s going to be magical and here is a peek at some of the art that will be included. I hope you will join us!
Wisdom of the woods
There’s always something so heart-warming and cosy this time of year. Something poetic that invites you to tune within, reconnect to yourself and to the natural world…
Longing & belonging
I recently took a break, a parenthesis out of everyday life, to join a group of creative women in beautiful Bretagne and make art with cloth and plants. Here is a peek at the magic we created, guided by botanical alchemist India Flint.
Share your light
Three years ago I took a brave bold step in the direction of my dreams, and set a table in my studio to film my first class ever: Layers of Light. Three years and over 1000 students later, I still remember that first, awkward filming session and the light that filled my soul…
Filling the well
Filling the well of inspiration in places that we love is so important before diving into the next project. And that’s exactly what I did last week in the beautiful English countryside (that, and visiting Harry Potter filming locations!)
Your art language
Sometimes there are no words, no images that can fully express what lives within our souls, and that’s when the magic of abstract art comes in! Are you ready to unveil your own abstract language? In today’s post I’m sharing some key lessons from my new class Soulful Abstracts!
Creative mothers
If you are, or have, a creative mother, this post is for you. I happen to belong to both categories so I speak from experience when I say that the combination of Motherhood and Creativity is truly a one-of-a-kind journey! Happy Mother’s Day!
Studio tour
Welcome to my new creative haven! This studio space is a total dream come true and I’d love to show you around!
Dear creative block
I’m feeling stuck, Yippee!… That’s right, since the holidays I have been feeling totally and utterly STUCK. The Artist Block in all its glory! If you’re a creative in any field at all, I’m sure this is something you can relate to, because it’s 100% part of the creative process. So what if we explored this together a little and see if I can lure myself back into the studio? Let’s find out!
Gratitude & New Beginnings
Today I’m sharing a page from my journal that speaks of embracing the flow of life, letting go and welcoming new beginnings. Our wings are ready to lift us up towards the light, if we trust them and follow our heart.
An Irish adventure
I’m just back from for my first art retreat with the wonderful Pauline Agnew in Clonakilty, Ireland! Come and take a peek…
A place for stories
Sometimes we hold stories in our heart that beg for a place to be told, even though they don’t seem to make much sense… and sometimes they bring the most beautiful, unexpected gifts…
Light & shadow
Maybe that's because the solstice is approaching, but I'm more than ever fascinated by the play of Light and Shadow these days. And texture. And color... So here's a peek at what I'm up to lately: new, big abstract paintings, a solo show, encaustic wax and Layers of Light… Read on!
Whispers & touch
Making art is a physical experience: my hands and my whole body are as involved as my soul. It's a dance between this physicality and the deeply spiritual side of the process. Whispers and touch... There's something so intimate about this.
Around here lately
So many exciting things going on at the moment! New art, new classes, a treehouse and some top secret projects… the studio is buzzing with abstracts, fibers, flowers, art journals and more… Come on in!
A sacred dance
Creating with intuition sometimes feels like catching butterflies: the more you chase it, the more it eludes you… But the moment you let go, it starts dancing and fluttering, and before you know it, it gently lands on your hand, dazzling you with wonder…
She found her wings
What does the creative process feel like to you? To me, it feels like turning inward and letting light shine from within. Closing my eyes and feeling my wings...
Handmade journal
Making my own art journal is really what got me started with the practice. Find out more and create yours with this free video tutorial!
