Art Show with Stephanie Gagos

These past few weeks I've been busy as a happy bee preparing for my upcoming online art show, and it starts really soon! This year it is part of a larger event called the Handmade Holiday Show on Facebook. The event runs from Dec. 2-11 with plenty of inspiring artists to discover, and mark your calendar because my art will be up on:

Tuesday, Dec. 8

I would love love love for you to be there! Click below to find out more and join us, it's going to be such a fun and inspiring event, with plenty of super affordable art:

I have put together a poetic and uplifting collection for you, with plenty of lovely florals and inspiration from nature. I hope it will invite you to pause, breathe a little deeper, find renewed joy in your heart and welcome some magic into your life!

Painting flowers always brings so much joy to my soul. There is such freedom in creating your own imaginary garden, with layer upon layer of vibrant, translucent colors that merge and dance together as they please... magical!

Florals are also the paintings I most enjoy having around the house. They feel so soothing, light-filled and uplifting, just like having extra windows overlooking an ever-blooming little piece of paradise!

And the secret garden bloomed and bloomed and every morning revealed new miracles.

It may sound counterintuitive, but I also love to paint florals in neutral tones, like this little series called "In the Meadow". They have such a gentle vibe. Plus the chunky little canvases feel so dimensional with their super deep edges and faux-encaustic finish. When color takes a step back, lines and texture can really shine!

Going even further, flowers can actually be lovely in black and white! I really love the feminine, vintage vibe of this one below, titled "By A Lady". It started as a landscape, but the painting had something else in mind and the flowers suddenly bloomed, loose and free, changing the whole story! I love when this happens.

I always come back to color though. It is just so lovely and fun to play with every nuance of the rainbow! The sight of colorful supplies on my table never fails to make me smile, and I love having colorful art around the house. It is such a powerful way to shift our emotions and lift our spirits, which has been much needed this year! Look at those translucent colors, they just make me happy:

Most of the art will be mixed media paintings, from large works on canvas to small series on paper (which all come framed), and there will also be a few dimensional pieces like a little altered book and paper clay sculptures...

Below are a few more previews, and you can see the full, up-to-date album on my Facebook page (I might add a few more pics before the show begins). When you see something you like, write “Tag me!” in a comment below the corresponding photo in the Facebook album. This way we can notify you when the artwork goes up during the show!

The show itself will happen within the Facebook group “Auctions with Stephanie Gagos” (our host). This is where the listings for the artworks will be published during the show in a dedicated album. You will be able to place bids in the comments under each listing. And remember to mark your calendar: my art will be up on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020!

NB: International shipping will be available for all pieces!

Creating art is only one part of the story, and sharing it with others is at least as important. That's why I'm so grateful to our lovely host Stephanie Gagos for creating a space where art, artists and art-lovers can come together, connect and have a lot of fun. I hope you will be come and support me! And who knows, you might even find something that whispers to your soul. See you at the show!
