ART JOURNAL
A good art journal is a friend for life! It should take all kinds of media really well and open flat:

The Dylusions journal is a good ready-made option
NB: Although this project is meant to be created in a journal, it’s completely possible to do it on a canvas, a sheet of watercolor paper or any other substrate of your choice.

A palette (or a simple white plate) Personally I often use a whole lot of small, round, stackable ceramic palettes.
Parchment or wax paper to protect your pages
Paper clips to keep your pages flat
Water (a spray bottle can come in handy)
A rag
Something to protect your surface (table-cloth, plastic bag...)
Something to protect your clothes (apron, old shirt...)
OPTIONAL: Craft heat gun (embossing tool) to speed up drying

All sorts of papers (ask around!): magazines, colored tissue paper, printed napkins, sheet music, vintage wallpaper, vintage prints, text paper, paper doily etc.
A used copy of your favorite Jane Austen book that you don’t mind tearing pages from!

OPTIONAL: lace, ribbon or other pretty fibers (I ended up not using mine in this project, but they are wonderful for finishing touches)

Use the colors that you love most! For this project it’s important to use translucent colors, plus some opaque white.
